A few more layouts to share

I hope everyone had a great weekend, I know I did. I even had a mini crop with my sister in law on Saturday and got quite a bit done.

This first layout is based off of a sketch I got with one of my Scrap-Room kits, and the paper and most of the embellies are Jillibean Soup. I just love these pictures, if you watch baseball at all you know Milwaukee is known for it's racing sausages at home games. Well at our local hockey games we have racing cheese, like the title says, only in Wisconsin :)

For this one, I was really glad to have found pictures to match the papers. I'm not much of a vintage girl, while I love the look of it, my pics just never seem to match it. I received the Crate Paper Restoration line in another Scrap-Room kit and just didn't know what to do with it. I then found these pics of the first snowmobile I ever drove, printed them in black and white, and they were a perfect fit. It also gave me an excuse to use my Heidi Swapp edge distresser too.

Lastly just a fairly simple layout of a friend and I up north. I really like the background paper by October Afternoon and wanted a lot of it to show, so I didn't add too much else.

That's all for now, thanks for stopping !!

2 Page Layouts

When I first started scrapping, all I did were 2 page layouts and a little over a year ago I started doing mostly one page layouts. Looking through my pictures, I realized I needed to do some more two pagers, because I was eliminating too many pictures. I came across this great site, sketch support that has 2 page sketches and it was just what I needed to get back into the swing of 2 pagers. The first 2 I used sketches from the site, the last one is not based off of a sketch but I used the general idea of their sketches to create it.
That's all I have for today, I'm getting a much needed haircut tonight and can't wait. Maybe I'll post some pics of my new 'do.
Thanks for stopping !!

Sketch Challenge

Just a quick post today. Scrapbook Sussies is a monthly kit club that I subscribe to and they had another sketch challenge this month. Here is my take on it.
I used Bella Blvd's Sunny Happy Skies line that came in February's sussies kit. That's all for today.

Happy Valentine's Day !

I hope everyone has a great day celebrating with their significant other, or if you're single like me, celebrating with yourself !!

I had a great time this past weekend. We had a Bowl for a Cure breast cancer fundraiser on Friday. Here's a pic of the team.
I also did some scrapping this weekend. This first layout is some pics from the local tree lighting in town. My Dad is on the board of directors for the community center hosting the event so every year we go and help hand out glo-sticks to the kids. The patterned paper is Jillibean Soup, the background is Bazzil cardstock with chalk on it to bring out the pattern a little more, and I used my favorite new toy(my sewing machine) on the edges.
This next one is some pics from a radar run I went to last year, and everyone came home with trophies. Everything with the exception of the snowflake is Crate paper (and did you notice, I used my sewing machine on this one too !).
The next two change up the seasons a little bit, it was soooo cold here last week I needed to remind myself it does warm up eventually. These are pics from last summer. First up is my brother and I playing on a slip n slide. Everything but the cardstock is Bella Blvd.
And this one seems like a good one to end today's post with. My sister in law and I just relaxing at the lake. Thankfully only a few more months of cold until we're here again !! I used WRMK 72 & Sunny line for this one.
Thanks for stopping !!

Snowpocalypse !

I've lived in Wisconsin my whole life, and can't remember a time when we got this much snow all at once. It was nice to not have to go to work on Wednesday, but I couldn't have gone even if I wanted to. Our street wasn't plowed until after 3 in the afternoon. Unfortunately I wasn't feeling the greatest, so I had planned on a whole day of scrapping but didn't get much accomplished. I did venture out for a little bit to take some pics though !

That's me standing next to the huge pile in our driveway, and that's the road behind me still covered in a little more than 2 feet of snow.
Elvis loved busting through the snow piles, Toby not so much. I'll be back later with some scrappy stuff to share. Hopefully the weather is good wherever you are !
Thanks for stopping by !
