A little bit of Thanksgiving

I almost passed right over Thanksgiving this year, it seems like it was just Halloween, and Christmas is just around the corner, but I did manage to get some cards out today ( I know they're a little late, but everyone will still get them before Thursday ), and I played around with making a small centerpiece for my table.

I was trying to use up a bunch of scraps that I had, so there's a little bit of Bo Bunny, Crate Paper, DCWV, and Carolee's Creations. The turkey is all Bo Bunny, and I haven't decided yet if I think he needs more feathers. I can't ever just say a project is finished ! Oh well.

On a side note, Jeff and I got all the invites out for our ugly sweater Christmas party, now I just hope people can make it. I can't wait for all the photo op's of everyone's ugly sweaters !!

Mini Album

So I've been on a mini album kick lately. I just finished one of Jeff's racing. I knew the second I saw this album what I was going to do with it. It fits with the pictures and the papers so well. The album is Maya Road, and all the papers and embellishments are Bo Bunny, the glittery gears are cutouts from the front cover of the album covered in stickles. Oh and there are a few Tim Holtz gears in there too. I still have a little bit of journaling to finish but for whatever reason I always have to come back and do that later. I can't ever figure out what to say, so I think about it for awhile. Anyways, the title No Snow, No Problem is the name of Jeff's race team, better known as NSNP Racing.

That's all for now, hopefully I will have some of my X-mas decorations done soon so I can share those. Thanks for looking.

Bo Bunny Card Challenge

So Bo Bunny posted a card challenge on thier blog, and since I am finally getting caught up and organized, I was able to finish the challenge before it was due ! Plus it gave me an excuse to start my x-mas cards ( 1 down, 29 to go ). Here is the original sketch.

And my version of it.

Everything is Bo Bunny except the bling, I might have to retake the picture, i didn't realize that it was so dark.

Thanks for stopping

Indian Summer !

What a beautiful weekend we had here in Wisconsin. It was in the 60's both days here, so we decided to take advantage of it on Sunday and go to Cedarburg. It was a perfect day to walk through all the little shops, the winery, and of course the scrapbook store ! With the holidays fast approaching, I did have to control myself a little, and I think I did pretty well I only bought 1 paper line for myself, and a few mini albums to make as X-mas gifts.
I had a very productive scrapbook weekend as well. I was really looking forward to using Bella Blvd's Camped Out line. I received some of it in a Scrapbook Sussies kit, and purchased some from my LSS. I love the fact that the owner of Bella Blvd is local, and got her start and the store I shop at !

I still have to add the journaling to the top one, but I was rather pleased with how they came out. The papers matched our up north pictures perfectly !
I also finished a mini album of our Halloween pics. I used the MMY Boo to You line again, and a Cosmo Cricket album I had lying around.

All for now !

Too Long !!

Yikes, it's been too long since my last post. I've just been so busy lately. I haven't done any layouts recently since I ran out of ink and couldn't print any pictures, but it just came in today so I can't wait to get home and start printing all my Halloween pictures. I've put a few of my favorites on here. They are from an awesome party at a friends house who goes nuts with the decorations.

The first room is the dungeon room, it looks much cooler in person because the camera flash ruins the mood lighting in each room.

This is the cabin from Camp Crystal Lake, complete with Jason peering through the window !

The cemetery

This thing gave me the creeps all night !

The bathroom, again the flash doesn't do it justice.

The whole living room is set up like a funeral home.

Finally just a pic of Jeff & I, he made a very cute Scooby-Doo !!

Now I did manage to get my Halloween cards done and mailed before Halloween. For the first time I made everyone a different card, and I have to say that I like doing it that way, it allows me to be much more creative. The first set I used the American Crafts Collection that I got in my Scrapbook Sussies kit.

The next set are all using the Boo to You collection by My Mind's Eye. I fell in love with this as soon as I saw it so I bought a ton of it. I actually managed to make all six cards using just the accessories sheet, 1 sheet of patterned paper and three sheets of card stock. They are fairly simple, but I like how they came out.

That's all for now, I'm hoping to get some layouts done tomorrow, I have all the papers ready I want to use, I just need the pictures. I also hope to get a team volleyball picture tonight since our whole team will finally all be there !!
