Where did this week go. I can't believe that it is Friday already, and I didn't get any scrapping done. I did get a ton of other stuff done though. Last weekend was Jeff's final race of the year, which ending up being cancelled halfway through do to the weather, but it didn't matter anyways as he already had the points all wrapped up and won his third straight MSDRS championship !!

I also got all of our Halloween decorations up this week, and I realized that I don't have as many as I thought I did. Time to make some more this weekend.

Jeff and I have also been on a cleaning spree, we have company staying with us this weekend for the snow show, and I was sick of what our house looked like. Jeff finally cleanesd out his closet and got rid of tons of stuff, we steam cleaned the carpets, gave both stinky dogs a bath, and got everything back into it's place. I still have some floors to scrub, but it looks so much nicer, now if we can only keep it that way (fingers crossed).

I should be able to get some scrapping done this weekend, it's supposed to be cold and rainy outside, and we have our first Halloween party on Saturday. I can't wait, the decorations that this couple puts up for Halloween are amazing and I will be taking tons of pictures !!
All for now

Bad Weather = Good Scrapping !

The weather here was cold and wet this past weekend, making it the perfect time to cozy up in the house and get some scrapping done. The first layout I did was a two-pager of my parents dog Elvis from when we were at the cabin Labor Day weekend. All the papers and elements are from Bo Bunny's Mango Luau collection. I love this collection, and have a tin of it still, expect more layouts featuring this soon. The letters are Thickers. I couldn't decide which pics to use, so I used them all and made it a two-pager. I really like this one, the papers are a pefect fit to the pictures.

So I was on a two-pager kick and decided to try another one. This one has pics from my sister-in-laws birthday back in January. I found the stickers recently at Joann's and knew they were perfect for these pics. The papers are all from the DCWV Butterflies & Blossoms stack, and the pink dots (that are kind of hard to see) are stickles. This one was pretty simple, but anything else I tried to add to it just seemed to take away from the pics.

This next one I'm not so sure about. It's a little to plain, I might try to revamp it a little this week. The patterned papers are fancy pants.

Another simple one, but I like this one better. The papers here are 3 bugs in a rug. The pic is from the lakefront, when I was actually convinced Jeff to go to Bender Park just to take some pictures. I had been wanted to try the tearing on top for a while now, and I think I might have to incorporate it into some more layouts.

This is a pic from Jaime's 1st bridal shower. It is of most of the wedding party. I really like the color scheme for this layout as it is very similar to the colors for the wedding. The patterned papers here are October Afternoon, who I have just started to discover and absolutely love them. The letters are thickers, the flowers I'm not sure whose they are, they came in one of my monthly kits. Oh, I almost forgot, I used a Crafter's Workshop template to cut out the background.

This is another pic from our mini photo shoot at Bender Park. Everything on this one is My Mind's Eye. This is their Breaking Free collection. I love how well everything coordinates, and there is so much variety when it comes to embellishments for this collection, and the die cut paper is awesome.

These are some of my favorite pics. It's from our trip to the cabin over Labor Day, and they just show how much fun we all have. All the papers are from DCWV Recycled stack. All of these papers have a little bit of texture you can't see in a picture, but they look really good in person.

Another two-pager, this is from Jeff's brother Bret's wedding in Idaho. His wife Lorie looked beautiful, and I have to say I'm kind of proud of the picture I got of her parents walking her down the aisle. It has that caught moment feel that makes a picture special. All the papers and embellishments are Bo Bunny's Flirty collection. I finally broke out my label maker on a layout too. The glittery letters are thickers. It is also hard to tell from a picture, but all the flowers are double stacked and pop dotted to make them 3-D.

I needed to figure out how to use a ton of pictures on a layout, or I would have a million layouts of scootering picture. I think this came out really well. Again, I couldn't decide what pics to use and which ones not to use since they all told a little different story, so I had to use them all. Because I used so many pics, I didn't want to clutter it up with too many other elements so the layout itself is pretty simple. All the elements are My Mind's Eye Abbey Road. I think the white edges on all of the pictures really helps to make them stand out, and gives the layout a real layered look.

This is another layout that I'm not sure I'm finished with. at first I didn't want a title, but looking at it now, it just looks too plain. I love the pics though, Powder likes to have her picture taken. The papers on this one are 3 Bugs in a Rug.

Powder again, this time she had decided to play in the mud, so before I let her in the house I had to get some pictures. Everything is Bo Bunny's U Bug Me line. This was the first time I tried stitching on a layout, not sure what I think of it.

Lastly this is a picture of Jeff and me at his brother's wedding. I was trying something different again that I never tried before with the strips of paper. I'm pretty happy with how it came out and it was fun to play around with. All the papers here are SEI.

Ok, I know this was a super long post, and I didn't even get all of them posted. I will try to keep them shorter next time !

So, since Jeff was gone all weekend I thought it would be the perfect time to catch up on all my scrapbooking projects, a scrapapalooza as I like to call it, but my quiet crafty weekend turned into a trip downtown, to the museum, to the mall, and to the last Brewers home game of the year. Can't really complain because I love all those things and they were free for me, but it left my craft time to a minimum. I did manage to finish one project though, a Boo wall hanging. This was just a plain wood piece that I got from Joann's, painted it black and used my leftover scraps from last years Halloween album that I did. All items are We R Memory Keepers, except the little bats, and I'm not sure whose those are. Hopefully I will get more accomplished this weekend !
